Francis S. Dashwood writes psychological/supernatural horror rooted in memory, perception, and the quiet realities most people spend their lives trying to avoid. He writes to provoke, to challenge “normal” ideas, and leave some unsettling ideas behind as seeds.

His work does not rely on monsters or spectacle. Instead, it explores what happens beneath the surface – where fear is shaped by experience, where the mind bends to survive, and where the past does not remain still. The horror is often subtle, sometimes invisible, but always present.

Drawing from lived experience, Dashwood’s stories focus on endurance, internal conflict, and the lasting imprint of trauma and humanity. His characters are not simply afraid; they are navigating worlds where the line between what is real and what is felt becomes increasingly difficult to define.

These are not stories meant to startle.

They are meant to stay.

He is currently completing his degree in English and Creative Writing at SNHU and is actively developing works for publication.
